Being the original means being first. Always.

Polyform was the first company in the world to launch lightweight inflatable buoys for tough maritime use, and in 2022 we introduced the very first non-phthalate fender. As pioneers, we decided to be the first again by introducing bio attributed raw materials in our production of all our inflatable buoys and boat fenders.

Recycled purse seine floats

NF-series

BACELL/EVA floats made from recycled PE minimizing the carbon footprint. Made by over 50% recycled PE, where the raw material comes from recycling of industry and agricultural plastics.

For Aquaculture and Offshore industries

Recycled and bio-attributed PE buoys

Recycled hard chell PE buoys supplied the Aquaculture industry, and Certified BIO-attributed PE pontoons to floating solar installation. These are some examples of what we offer contributing to a reduced carbon footprint.

Polyform Green Concept

Polyform Green Concept is our environmental commitment and includes all our measures for a more sustainable production and reduced environmental footprint.

Our goal is to reduce our footprint in every aspect of our business operations.

  • Responsible sourcing.

  • Responsible manufacturing.

  • Always retaining the same quality and durability that Polyform products are known for.

  • Sustainability Roadmap

The Polyform Sustainability Roadmap is an integral part of Green Concept defining our priorities and goals for sustainability.

  • Made in Norway

All production takes place in our factory outside Ålesund, on the west coast of Norway.

Polyform continues to make adjustments for an environmentally friendly production, using certified 100% renewable Norwegian hydro-power and focus on energy conservation.

Our staff is protected by Norwegian social sustainable working environment.

  • Certified producer

Polyform complies with national and international environmental requirements and is a triple ISO certified producer.

    NS-EN ISO 9001:2015

    NS-EN ISO 14001:2015

    NS-ISO 45001:2018

    EU REACH (chemical regulations)

NS 9415:2021 Marine fish farms (NYTEK)

  • Traceability

We only use approved raw materials, and all our plastic is produced in-house.

This gives us full control and traceability, and makes it easy to document the origin and quality of the products.

UV resistant plastic counteracts photodegradation, and external surfaces are produced to release a minimum of microplastics.

  • Raw materials minimizing footprint

Polyform aims at continuous reduction of our environmentally footprint, and to develop products that have a minimum impact on our environment.

If we find new improved plastic raw ingredients, we use them if they are deemed suitable.

We have already introduced certified BIO-attributed PE, PVC and plasticizer, post-consumer recycled PE and Bacell, and a non-phthalate plasticizer for PVC.

  • Transport

Transport is an important issue as our products are exported all over the world. All soft PVC products are shipped deflated to reduce volume. Large scale mooring buoys are designed for freight optimization. EVA foam products are shipped semi-finished for expansion by local partners.

All packaging is 100% recyclable cardboard.

  • Useful life and reuse

All of our products are used in the sea, where they safeguard assets and help to reduce undesirable environmental impacts. quality functional plastic products are the best alternative for these kinds of flotation products.

Polyform designs products to have a long useful life under demanding conditions. Ten to fifteen years is not uncommon. The higher the quality the fewer units that have to be produced.

We also know that products that are taken out of service can be put into use in less demanding contexts.
